Odd travel dozen
1, 2 ... 12
Thanksgiving week was one of travel. Lunch in Visalia and several days in Joshua Tree with my nephew and my brother. Much hiking, running and reading was done.
Along the way I took a bunch of photos. Many represent the trip well. Willow Hole is a worthwhile place to hike to. Running solo one way on the Boy Scout Trail? Pretty cool until I started thinking about how I hadn’t seen anyone for at least an hour and the trail was, shall we say, rocky. Jack rabbits are fun to see. An Oasis, sweet.
But sometimes the most fun just comes from weird photos. Here are some. The only editing was cropping.
One. Merry Christmas from a Cowboy. “Don’t call me yella”
Two: Bunny in the backyard (okay, not that odd, but sure cute)
Three: This selfie rocks
Four: Look Ma! No hands.
Five: Rope
Six: Old stuff at night with a flashlight
Seven: Man on Rock Face.
Eight: Spirals
Nine: Spine? Teeth? Butt cheeks? Nose? Homunculus?
Ten: Not yours
Eleven: Palms up. Palms down.
Twelve: Dam thing. It looks like a…
And yes, I did ask someone on the way out, “is this way to the dam parking lot?”
And yes, the dam, it was swell. And you know, I like to say things that start with “And” and a word that starts with “y”. And yes, it’s intentional.

Great pictures and narrative. AND Y ou managed to get your name in there!😉
So fun! Loved the photos! LOVED the captions!
I especially love knowing we were traipsing around different areas of the same beautiful desert at the same time.
So very thankful for you 🌼
