Professional Development Doodles
The art of appearing to be focused
Next week I get to lead 2 hours of Professional Development for our staff. Mental Health here we come! This time Regulation and Response. Get your test balloons ready because it’s going to be POPPIN!
Today we had religious PD across the whole diocese. This meant four hour-long sessions with four different speakers. 2 were pretty good. 1 was really quite good and 1 could be helped with some constructive feedback. Ahh…sometimes it is tempting to leave but I stay even if it's horrible.
1. You never know when they might do or say something that will trigger a much bigger thought in your own head.
2. It’s just not polite to leave. We sure don’t let students just get up and leave in the middle of class. . . no matter how horrible the class is.
3. As a presenter myself I can learn from both the things they did well and the things that really didn’t work.
4. It’s a paid day. I’m getting paid. I should stay.
Even during the best presentations, if I have a paper and pencil or pen, I am going to doodle. That’s just the way it is. They even told us to bring paper and pen. So here are the day’s doodles for your viewing pleasure.
First Presentation Doodle Notes (that’s an attempt at a ranunculus on the left)
Second and Third Presentation Doodle Notes got combined into one. I think that may be a self portrait. And words with “lent”.
And Part 4. The masterpiece of the day’s doodles.
I have no other words of wisdom today.

Interesting doodles Andy!I really like them. I always do that. You have some great designs!
